We have implemented HD Flexo prepress.
HD Flexo is a new process for making digital flexo plates. The improved plates are higher quality and print more consistently than standard digital flexo plates. The quality of gravure printing has always been higher than even the UV Flexo printing. But, with HD Flexo, the gap is closed. Bringing consistency, vibrant colors and increased print quality (even over 200 lpi), HD Flexo raises the industry standard in flexo printing. In addition, digital plate exposure ensures greater consistency in plate production and in printing.


With HD Flexo we have increased the screen rulings up to 200 lpi, while at the same time we reduced the size of the smallest printable dot. This has been achieved by using a higher imaging resolution (4,000 dpi), resulting in sharper images, smoother tints and a greater color gamut. There is a sustainable benefit as well. Printing flexible packaging on a flexo press instead of gravure reduces energy use and CO2 emissions by as much as 50%.

With new imaging resolution and a significantly higher printing quality, we are able to offer brand owners the quality of rotogravure print with lower prepress costs and a shorter lead time.
